How do I connect Schoology, Canvas or Google Classroom?

Open Connections and pick your platform — each one lists exactly where to find its calendar link. For Schoology, click your account in the top-right corner, choose Settings, and the iCal link is at the bottom of that page; for Canvas it's Calendar → Calendar Feed; for Google Classroom it's the secret iCal address in Google Calendar settings.

Once it's connected, every assignment, quiz and test appears on your calendar and your classes are created for you.

My calendar feed says it can't be reached.

Almost always one of three things:

  • The link is the page URL rather than the iCal/ICS link — they look similar.
  • Your school regenerated the feed, which invalidates the old link. Copy it again.
  • The feed is only reachable from inside the school network. If that's the case, add work by hand or use the Canvas access-token option instead.
Why is the To-do list not just in due-date order?

Because due-date order is misleading. A twenty-minute worksheet due tomorrow is not more urgent than a test on Friday. Each kind of work carries a lead time — a test needs about five days, a project four, a reading one — and the list ranks by how close you are to that window, not to the deadline. Expand “How this order is worked out” at the bottom of To-do for the full reasoning.

Why can't I see my grades?

Grades need an API connection, not a calendar feed. An iCal link carries due dates and nothing else — no marks, no teachers, no real course names — so no amount of syncing will make grades appear on one.

For Schoology, open your school's site with /api on the end (for example yourschool.schoology.com/api) and generate a Consumer Key and Secret, then add the “Schoology (grades + assignments)” connection and paste them as key:secret. For Canvas, use the access-token connection. Districts control whether students may generate a Schoology key, so if that page tells you that you don't have access, your school has switched it off and only the calendar feed will work.

Who can see what I share in a study group?

Everyone in the group, and anyone who gets hold of the invite code — the code is the only thing standing between a stranger and the group's material, so share it the way you would a door key.

Only what you actually tap share on is uploaded. Your calendar, your grades, your uploads and your lecture audio are never eligible. Lecture notes can be shared; the recording and raw transcript cannot. You can remove anything you posted, and if you created the group, deleting it erases everything shared in it.

Live transcription isn't working while I record.

On the web, live transcription needs Chrome or Edge — Safari and Firefox don't implement the browser speech API. The iPhone and Android apps use the system recognizer instead and work regardless of browser.

You can always record audio and type the transcript yourself; the notes, summary and action items are generated from the text either way.

Where is my data stored? Can I move it to another device?

On your device first, always. Without an account there is no server copy at all, which also means we can't recover anything if you clear it. With an account, your classes, decks, guides, notes and calendar are synced so your other devices can load them — but your grades, school access tokens and lecture audio never sync, so those live on one device only. Material you share into a study group is also stored, so the group can read it.

To move it: Settings → Export backup writes a single JSON file, and Import restores it on the other device.

What counts as an AI generation?

One study guide, one set of flashcards, or one practice test each count as a single generation — so creating all three from one upload uses three. Highlight-to-explain lookups are counted separately. Free includes 0 generations a month, Pro 100, and Exclusive 300. Your current usage is on the Settings page.

Why isn't any plan unlimited?

Every AI generation costs real money per call. “Unlimited” at $6.99 a month is a promise that breaks the first time someone leans on it, and the usual fix is a silent throttle nobody tells you about. We print the numbers instead, and set them high enough that a normal course load never reaches them.

How do I cancel, or get a refund?

Subscriptions bought in the app are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel from your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled under their policies, not ours; we have no ability to issue them for store purchases.

The app is telling me it's offline, or the AI output looks basic.

That's the on-device engine. When there's no network — or the AI service is unreachable — Planr.ai keeps working by building study guides, flashcards and tests locally. It's less fluent than the full model but it means a dead connection never costs you a study session. It reconnects on its own.

We can't see your schoolwork, so we can't look up your account to diagnose a problem — there isn't one. If something has gone wrong with your data, Settings → Export backup produces a file you can send us.
